  • 250g MEET Chicken Free Strips (Available in the chilled meat section of Woolworths)

  • 1/2 cup of olive oil (to shallow fry)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 cup soy milk

  • 1 cup flour


  1. Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice to a bowl , add the soy milk and allow to sit for a minute. It will thicken and curdle - once curdled give it a little whisk.

  2. Once you have made your vegan buttermilk, add 1/2 a cup of olive oil into a large fry pan over a high heat.

  3. Dip each MEET Chicken Free Strip in the vegan buttermilk mixture, then in the flour, continue until all pieces have been covered.

  4. Once the MEET Chicken Free Strips are crumbed, add to the hot oil (be careful as the oil may spit)

  5. Cook the MEET Chicken Free Strips until golden. Make sure you refer to the back of the pack for cooking instructions.

  6. Serve with your favourite dipping sauce
