  • 240g MEET Italian Meetballs (Available in the chilled meat section of Coles)

  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • 400g tin diced tomatoes

  • 3 bay leave

  • 5 garlic cloves crushed

  • 2 onions diced

  • 500ml passata sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar

  • 250g grated vegan mozzarella


  1. Pre heat the oven to 180c fan forced.

  2. Heat 2 tbs of olive oil over medium heat and add MEET Italian Meetballs, cook for 3 mins turning regularly. Then add diced onion and fry for a further 2 mins until onion has softened.

  3. Add garlic, bay leaves, canned tomatoes, passata sauce, brown sugar and red wine vinegar and simmer for 5min.

  4. Transfer to a large oven safe baking dish and top with vegan mozzarella cheese.

  5. Place in oven and bake until vegan cheese has melted (around 10 mins)

  6. Dish and serve with your favourite side salad or dipping bread.
