BBQ BEEF STRIPS



INGREDIENTS: - 250g MEET Strips (Available in the Frozen section of Coles)

- 2tbs olive oil - Dill pickles - Spinach/lettuce mix - Beetroot - Vegan mayo (Or favourite salad dressing) - Walnuts

SAUCE: -1 cup ketchup sauce -1/2 cup of bourbon -3 tablespoons dark brown sugar

-3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

-1 tablespoon honey mustard -1 teaspoon garlic powder -1 teaspoon smoked paprika -1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder

- Pinch of salt


METHOD:

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients into a bowl and whisk together.

  2. Turn stove on medium heat and place sauce mixture in a medium pan and let mixture simmer for 15 minutes.

  3. Then In large fry pan over a medium heat, add 2 tbs olive oil and cook MEET Strips for 2- 3 minutes until lightly brown.

  4. Add the MEET Strips to the sauce and cook for a further minute.

  5. In a separate bowl add the lettuce/spinach mix, thinly sliced beetroot, dill pickles and and walnuts. Add Vegan Mayo or favourite dressing.

  6. Dived between two plates and enjoy!
